About the Role:

Toho International is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to support the visual design needs of our marketing and eCommerce teams. This role focuses on designing emails, social content, digital ads, homepage features, and more for the Godzilla brand and TOHO animation Store US.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative team of marketers, merchandisers, and content creators to bring our campaigns and product stories to life. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital design, has strong visual instincts, understands eCommerce best practices, and is excited about anime, film, and fan culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design marketing assets across digital channels - email, social media, site updates, and ads.
  • Create compelling visual assets that support product drops, brand campaigns, seasonal moments, and fan engagement.
  • Help maintain and evolve our brand style guides across platforms and projects.
  • Collaborate with marketing, eCommerce, and merchandising teams to support product and campaign launches.
  • Support basic motion graphics or simple video editing needs for marketing content.
  • Contribute ideas in brainstorms and creative meetings.
  • Assist with image editing, formatting, and organizing design assets.
  • Stay on top of fandom and design trends to help keep creative fresh and fan-relevant.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in eCommerce, retail, or entertainment.
  • Strong portfolio showing your digital marketing work (especially email, social, and web).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Working knowledge of Figma or other UI design tools.
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, and digital design best practices.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for fandom, anime, pop culture, or Japanese media.
  • Basic motion design or video editing skills (e.g., creating GIFs, simple clips for social).

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms.
  • Interest in UI/UX and basic understanding of user flows or wireframes.
  • Exposure to licensed or fan-focused brands.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for troubleshooting or email design.
  • Apparel or merchandise design experience.
