What is important to us in an Interior Designer:
· Develop and conceptualize design plans that align with client needs and preferences.
· Create detailed drawings and 3D renderings using design software such as 3D Room Planner, Design Files.
· Source from La-Z-Boy’ customizable line and select appropriate materials, furnishings, and finishes for projects.
· Coordinate with your sales team, business partners, and other professionals to ensure design plans are executed accurately.
· Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback into final plans.
· A strong eye for visual merchandising displaying your creativity
· Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in interior design.
· Prepare and deliver a presentation to your client and other project-related documentation.
· Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards in all design projects.
Job Requirements:
· Interior Design associate degree or 3+ years equivalent experience
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Execute and champion our Design program
· Train, coach, and develop your team
· The flexibility and willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Proficient in design software.
· Strong portfolio displaying innovative design projects.
· Excellent understanding of space planning and color theory.
· Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and ADA compliance.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and use a ladder
· Responsible for transfer day and maintaining sales floor with support from your management team
· Experience in budgeting and project management.
· Ability to listen to your client’s needs and translate them into design solutions.
· Knowledge of furniture, materials, and finishes.
