About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead inventory strategy and materials flow at our high-volume manufacturing facility in Fort Mill, South Carolina .

In this role, you will:

• Align SIOP/IBP processes across functions
• Manage global supplier relationships
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Logistics teams
• Champion sustainability initiatives within the supply chain

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Inventory Management

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve 98%+ service levels while minimizing carrying costs
• Apply advanced techniques (ABC analysis, demand variability modeling, AI-driven forecasting)
• Manage high-SKU environments, lifecycle challenges, and JIT delivery frameworks
• Ensure FIFO compliance and reduce obsolescence risks
• Oversee end-to-end materials management across all sites

Demand Planning & Collaboration

• Translate sales forecasts into actionable inventory plans
• Lead SIOP execution and provide data-driven insights
• Communicate supply constraints to Sales & Leadership
• Define and track KPIs (inventory turns, forecast accuracy, lead times)

Supplier & Risk Management

• Support supplier negotiations focusing on lead time, MOQ flexibility, and sustainability
• Build resilient supplier networks and contingency planning
• Work with compliance on customs and tariff mitigation

Materials Flow Optimization

• Apply Lean principles and PFEP methodology to streamline handling
• Champion warehouse automation (RFID, storage systems)
• Optimize layouts, JIT delivery, and storage solutions

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Lead audits and cycle counts with >98% accuracy
• Conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Advance sustainable materials practices

Leadership & Integration

• Contribute to long-term integrated business planning (18–60 months)
• Mentor planners and promote data-driven decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field (required)
• MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain/Sustainability (preferred)
• 7–10 years in inventory/materials management, with 5+ years in automotive, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle), Power BI/Tableau, demand planning tools
• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+ preferred)
• Knowledge of BOM management, component traceability, and industry compliance standards

Compensation & Benefits

💰 Salary: $103,000 – $135,000 annually

🎯 Bonus: Up to 15% annual bonus based on performance
