Job Description

An American multinational mass media and entertainment company is actively looking for a detail-oriented Metadata Specialist to join their team. It is a 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion. This is a hybrid role located in Universal City, CA that will include Tuesday-Thursday onsite and Monday and Friday remote from 9-6pm PST.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Minimum 1yr of experience.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Research and create metadata for Film & TV titles.
  • Aggregate information from various sources; conform and standardize data for ingest to an internal database using proprietary metadata tools for which training will be provided; and proofread and export metadata for delivery via XLS, CSV, XML, or other formats per Licensee specs.
  • Work with multiple groups to source territory-specific information such as Ratings, Release Dates, and Title Translations.
  • Commission text translations in multiple languages and track projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • Assist with set-up and maintenance of English and Localized product data in online content management systems, for which training will be provided.
  • Research and aggregate large lists of digital deliverables such as artwork files in preparation for delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Administration, Account Management, Master Data, and Materials Servicing teams to deliver high volumes of digital files for on-time launches and troubleshoot xml packaging and delivery issues.
