Job Description

The Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN) seeks an energetic Tradeshow Manager to oversee its annual Farwest Show. The Farwest trade show is in its 52 nd year with 4,000+ attendees, 300 + exhibitors, up to 5 hotels room blocks, and multiple events within a 3 day show.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to :

- Oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of trade show operations.

- Coordinate booth layout and conduct booth sales and serve as the primary liaison for exhibitors

- Negotiate contracts with venues, decorators, A/V companies, shipping vendors, host hotels, and other suppliers.

- Negotiate and execute profitable sponsorship contracts

- Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing and Finance to promote show and support brand initiatives.

- Oversee trade show budgets and ensure cost-effective execution in alignment with financial goals.

- Work closely with Events & Education Coordinator on seminar programming and logistics, speaker procurement, and contract process.

- Manage specific Farwest Show Features determined on an annual basis, which include, but are not limited to, New Varieties Showcase, New Products Showcase, and Nursery Tours.

- Manage OAN Booth logistics at other tradeshows (MANTS, Cultivate, ProGreen, etc.).

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- 3-5+ years of experience in tradeshow, event, or conference planning (association or B2B preferred).

- Proven success with exhibitor or vendor sales and relationship management.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within deadlines.

- Degree in related field or additional equivalent experience.

- Professional demeanor when interacting with show exhibitors, sponsors, and members.

 

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required for special events.  Minimal travel is required.  The OAN offers a competitive salary ($68,000 – $80,000 annually) and generous employment benefits. Compensation package includes full medical, vision and dental insurance, employer matching 401K plan, paid holidays, and accrued personal time off. We value work-life balance and a friendly, relaxed work environment.
